Dear Mrs. Griswell:
I have chosen to do research in
my senior project. Research can be done on any topic; I have decided to learn
more about the eye. The eye is the vital part of our body. Losing an eye would be very difficult. It would be hard to depend
on someone else for ones entire life. I find it is interesting to learn different methods that can make the eye better. Hopefully
through research, people will not have to wear glasses (especially children). I chose to research the eye because I do not
know much about the topic. I have not done any research on this project, but this project will allow me to develop my knowledge
on the eye.
In the project, I am planning to
research on how the eye works, what is the importance of the eye, and why one get spectacles. I always asked myself what is
an eye? Finally, I got a convincing answer that an eye is an organ, which collects
light and turns it into electronic messages which are sent to the brain. The
brain then turns those signals into a picture that we see. I will be concentrating
on myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism while doing my research. I will do my research
by studying different books and visiting different websites that are concerned with eye. My
brother and my cousins will guide me through the research. I have decided to
interview Ophthalmologist in Augusta, but I have not contacted him but I will soon contact him soon.
My product will include mostly about
an eye and vision. I will draw an internal diagram of an eye with a disorder and how spec will help to see an object. I also
decided to make a model of an eye. For this I may buy many things from outside to finish my model and to present it in front
of everyone. These will be my main product in the research. The product will
help you to understand my project better.
To conclude, I will put all my efforts
on eye research and present toward you in a sincere manner. This project will lead me to my final goal and help me to know
many new things about an eye. I will also learn how to conduct research on a particular topic, and I will also develop public
speaking skills which will help me in future.
Sincerely,
Vrajesh.U.
